Looking for opportunities to work in the Health Sector? Come along to Edge Hill University’s Health Careers Fair on Thursday, 5th June 2008 between 12.30 pm to 3pm in Sporting Edge on the Ormskirk campus. A record number of stands expected!
Following from last year’s successful Health Careers Fair, this year’s event will be bigger than ever with over 40 organisations having confirmed their attendance! We will have representatives from NHS Trust Hospitals, PCTs, private hospitals and nursing agencies, voluntary organisations and the Forces. Feedback from employers last year showed how impressed they were with our students and members of the local community who attended the Fair. One NHS representative said those they had met were “very motivated, good quality and enthusiastic people”. Perhaps this is the reason why so many organisations are keen to attend this year!
There will be something for those specialising in: child nursing, adult nursing, mental health nursing and learning disabilities nursing. Opportunities for ODP (or theatre staff) and midwives will also be highlighted. Staff from Edge Hill’s Faculty of Health and Careers Service will also be on hand to advise attendees on what the University has to offer, check CVs and to provide careers guidance. Last year many students and other attendees said the Fair had increased their awareness of the opportunities out there and one said “an excellent day, well worth attending.”
All indications are that this year will be even better, so this is your opportunity – so don’t miss out!
