The Musical Faces of Childhood; Exploring places and spaces
The UK Network of Music Educators and Researchers of Young Children (MERYC UK) are delighted to announce their 3rd UK Conference in partnership with Early Years at Edge Hill University:
Keynote speaker: Sally Goddard Blythe Msc – International Director of The Institute for Neuro-Physiological Psychology in Chester.
This one-day Practice conference aims to explore the musical nature of young children’s lives and to discuss effective approaches for nurturing musicality as part of lifelong learning in and through music.
MERYC-UK invites abstracts which describe innovative practice and its underpinning theories relating to the field of music in early childhood (0-8 years) in education (both inside and outside school), from practitioners engaged in early childhood music and its research in the UK and Europe. All abstracts will be anonymously reviewed and the authors of selected abstracts will be invited to present their work in a practical, engaging workshop.
