In Conversation with Tony Schumacher

Best known for his BBC police drama The Responder, starring BAFTA and Emmy-winning actor Martin Freeman, Tony Schumacher is a break-out writer from Liverpool. Working his way around the world as a roofer, a jeweller, a bouncer, a barman and a binman, he returned to Liverpool to become a response policeman. Schumacher’s path led him to writing following a journey of twists and turns and ultimately a serendipitous meeting.

Director of The Institute for Creative Enterprise (ICE), Martin McQuillan, will be delving into Schumacher’s journey to success and what life has been like since the nation was gripped by the BBC drama earlier this year.

After a short interval, we will be holding an audience Q&A when we’ll also be joined by two of The Responder’s cast members, Christine Tremarco and Phil McGuinness.
