About the EPRC

The Evidence-based Practice Research Centre (EPRC) is the hub for research across the Faculty of Heath and Social Care. Research is primarily concerned with advancing evidence-based practice through education, research and development.

Our dedicated team have expertise in clinical-based research, practice-based investigations, health services research and the health and social needs of children and young people.  Developing robust, relevant programmes of research, the Centre will offer a consultancy service and deliver specialised courses on evidence-based practice.

The Centre will play an important role in reflecting the Faculty of Health and Social Care’s aim of enhancing research and scholarship as underpinning knowledge transfer activities whilst also engaging with the evidence-based practice agendas of local health care providers.

The overall goal is to translate our findings to impact on clinical care thereby making a difference to policies, guidelines, service development and ultimately to improve the health and wellbeing of all.

Members of the core EPRC team are also affiliated to the Universities research institutes, the Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and the Institute for Public Policy and Professional Practice (I4P).
