5th Annual Postgraduate Research Conference
Department of English, History and Creative Writing

Tuesday 2 April 2019

This event is designed to celebrate the significant contribution that our postgraduates, from MA/MRes to PhD, make not only to the Department of English, History and Creative Writing but to Edge Hill University.

This is an opportunity for our postgraduates and staff to get together to appreciate the quality and diversity of the research being undertaken. It will also provide an event through which postgraduates can enhance their skills of writing to present, and presenting their work. Offers are welcome from postgraduates working in any discipline in the Department.

You can give a 15-20 minute paper or might wish to present your work as a reading or even a poster. We are happy to accommodate a variety of methods. If you don’t want to present please come along to network and support your colleagues.

Keynote Speaker: Dr Emma Liggins (Manchester Metropolitan University)
‘The Victorian Haunted House and the Tourist Gaze.’

Please forward an abstract of 150-200 words, including a title, to Professor Alyson Brown (browna@edgehill.ac.uk) by 15 March 2019.
