Again this year, Dr James Byrne took four Edge Hill University students to London to participate in University Camarade , the leading collaboration event between poets in the country. Students from Edge Hill paired up with other creative writing students from York St. John, The University of Glasgow and Kingston for a packed event at The Rich Mix Centre in Central London where they read newly commissioned work.

Edge Hill students traveled to London for this trip were Bronte Pleasants, Jai Brough, Michael Sutton and Kieran Wyatt. Videos of the work they read are here.

Curator of University Camarade, SJ Fowler has described the event as: ‘a remarkable, energetic night of poetry showcasing some of the most interesting young poets in the UK’.

These are unique experiences for students, putting them in touch with their contemporaries to produce new work. We’re already invited to participate again next year.  www.theenemiesproject.com/unicamarade
