In-sessional Support

Introduction

The Language Centre offers English language support to students whose first language is not English. This support aims to help international/EU students during their course by improving both language and skills in order to maximise success in their studies.

We offer English language support classes with a focus on writing skills and speaking skills. We also offer an English Pronunciation Lab workshop each week. If you wish to have individual advice on an aspect of your writing, we offer the Writing Advisory Clinic and you can request a one-to-one appointment.

In-sessional support classes are free and are available only on a sign-up basis each week. They are open to all international or EU students. They are not open to home students whose first language is English. These students, however, can receive help with their academic skills by attending the UniSkills workshops provided by Learning Services. Please find more information at ehu.ac.uk/uniskills.
