Outside the Law & Psychology Building

Edge Hill University’s Language Centre is part of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The Language Centre is located on the ground floor of the Law and Psychology building, which has contemporary teaching and learning facilities including a 265-seat Harvard style lecture theatre. The Language Centre has two dedicated spacious classrooms and a Language Lounge with 16 new computer stations.

The Language Centre is accredited by The British Council and BALEAP (The Global Forum for EAP Professionals) and is also a member of the AULC (The Association of University Language Communities in the UK and Ireland) and English UK.

Courses offered by The Language Centre include MA TESOL, Trinity CertTESOL, International Foundation Programme, Pre-Sessional Course and English Language Development courses. The Language Centre also offers credit-bearing language modules which form part of a student undergraduate degree. We also offer evening language classes, known as Steps, which are open to Edge Hill students, members of staff and to the local community.
