An ten week introductory course to running. The first session will provide information on the course, advice and tips on running and an opportunity to ask any questions; you will not be required to take part in any form of physical activity on the first week.
The second session will involves running for just a minute at a time, setting realistic expectations making the challenge feel achievable right from the start.
The course builds up slowly week by week leading to 30 minutes of running by the end of week 10.
Couch to 5K is for everyone, whether you’ve never run before or if you just want to get more active.

Free with any paid membership. Membership upgrades available upon completion of the course.
Payments to be made at the Edge Hill Sport reception desk or over the phone.
Participants on the Couch to 5K programme have an opportunity to take part in a research project on recreational runners, in which you will get access to the course FREE of charge.
