About the company
Watts ON Consultants is a truly pan-European business with a small team of expert staff based in Italy, Hungary and West Lancashire. The team consists of consultants, chartered engineers and software developers who help clients with high energy and water usage to reduce their utility consumption and running costs.
Having previously accessed Edge Hill University’s funded CMI Management Professional Development programme, Managing Director, Giovanni Lupaldi then responded to an invitation to access the Upskilling Lancashire project.
After meeting online for the training needs assessment, it was identified in the training plan that:
- There was a requirement for the company to develop its capacity to promote and sell its services.
- That their Italian-based software engineer, Davide, wanted to develop knowledge and skills in programmes such as Docker, Python and Flask.
The outcome
- Edge Hill provided access and made introductions to the Lancashire Boost ‘Growth Mentoring’ programmes which provides one-to-one tuition in sales and marketing.
- Held an online, introduction meeting with Davide in Italy and the ‘Digitalplus’ team at UCLAN to facilitate access to a purpose-built programme around the named packages.
