Appendix 12 details Edge Hill’s regulations governing the operation of discretion to be followed at all Progression and Award Boards.
- There is a restriction on the number of reassessment opportunities available to students and the decision to offer a second reassessment opportunity is a Progression/Award Board discretion.
- Full time students are normally allowed to progress onto the next level of study with up to 30 credits outstanding and in exceptional cases with up to 40 credits outstanding where, in the Board’s judgement, the student has the ability to complete successfully.
- Full time students who are not able to progress to the next level of study will be required to repeat the outstanding modules in full as a part time student.
