Library support

We provide individual assistance and support to staff engaged in research and research students (including PGCert in Research. MRes, MPhil and PhD).

This includes:

  • locating information resources
  • literature searching
  • using electronic journals and databases
  • current awareness
  • managing bibliographic data

Writing for the purpose of research

Help on academic writing (i.e. structure, logic, clarity and more) for research students and staff new to postgraduate study is available from the Graduate School on an individual basis or in small groups.

Training

Online training for staff and research students is available from our ‘Training for Researchers’ platform. It includes toolkits on literature searching, EndNote, Twitter for researchers, and more.

Library and Learning Services contribute several sessions to the Researcher Development Programme and staff can make bookings via the Research wiki. Research students can book by emailing [email protected]
