The department has a long history of producing high quality and enjoyable courses, recognised by employers for the relevant skills and knowledge they provide students, along with a high level of employability.

Whichever of our high quality courses you choose, teaching will combine laboratory and workshop practical activities, lectures and seminars, directed independent study, dissertation supervision, tutorials and fieldwork. You will also receive career planning and management training in our Geo-careers module.

Our facilities include teaching and research laboratories for physical and human geography, information technology, remote sensing and geographical information systems, all of which have an extensive range of equipment and technical support.
