Our respect for the privacy and security of your data is of great importance to the Faculty of Education and Edge Hill University. All personal data is held and processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (the UKGDPR).
This notice specifically relates to personal data processed by Faculty of Education for the purpose of school visits to campus.
This notice should be read in conjunction with the University’s Data Protection Policy and Privacy Policy.
What information do we collect about you?
The data you provide allows us to arrange school visits to campus.
During this data collection process we collect the following data:
- Lead contact name
- Email address
- School data
How do we use the information you provide?
We will process your data on the basis of consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time by emailing [email protected]. We use the information we collect only in compliance with this privacy notice.
Who do we share your information with?
We do not share the information you provide to us with any unauthorised third party unless there is a lawful or statutory basis to do so. Your data is never shared outside of the EEA.
How long do we keep your information?
We retain personal information for a period no longer than the current academic year, plus one year. At the end of this period your personal information is deleted and personal data is purged from our systems.
If you need to amend the data provided, please email [email protected] to ensure we have the most up to date information for arranging school visits.
Do we keep your personal data secure?
We are committed to the security of personal information held, and in ensuring that individuals who access the information have a justifiable reason to do so. Your information is held securely on the University servers.
Your rights
You have the right to access and be informed what personal data the University holds about you and what it is used for (please refer to the University’s Subject Access Request Form). We may amend this privacy notice from time to time. Any significant changes to the notice or to the way we treat your data will be communicated via the Edge Hill website or by contacting you directly through the most appropriate means.
