The impact of ECC and our mathematics intervention programmes

The children have loved taking part in this small group intervention and have developed confidence in their mathematic abilities. They have made accelerated progress which has meant that they have almost caught up to their peers. We are now working with our second cohort of children and the results are looking equally positive! The training for our staff has also been invaluable – we now have the expertise and the resources to run this successful intervention for many years to come.

Since 2008, we have supported over 6,750 schools in and beyond the United Kingdom to help over 175,000 children who have had difficulties with mathematics.
Children have made an average Number Age gain of 13 months in only 4 months – over 3 times the expected progress.
Over 90% of children showed more confidence and interest in learning mathematics in class after ECC intervention.

Our mathematics intervention programmes

Every Child Counts has 4 ‘families’ of mathematics intervention programmes, each meeting the needs of targeted groups of pupils. All come with extensive, attractive ready–to–use resources, written guidance manuals and the highest quality face-to-face or online training.

Teachers and teaching assistants can start teaching straight after their first training day. The training then runs parallel with their teaching in their training term.
