18th September 2019 - Change to Entry Requirements

Although the number of UCAS Tariff points has not changed, this should now include a Music-related subject.

Other subjects will be considered if you can demonstrate your ability to create music, either as an electronic musician, or by playing a musical instrument (such as vocals, guitar, keyboard, bass, drums, percussion or brass) either in a band or as a solo artist.

No formal grade or professional qualification in playing a musical instrument is required but, in the absence of a Music-related subject to contribute towards the UCAS Tariff points, you will need to supply evidence in the form of video and/or audio recordings of songs and music being created and performed. Recordings should be uploaded to SoundCloud and/or YouTube and the links to them put in your UCAS Personal Statement. In some circumstances, we may also invite you to attend an audition workshop.

1st May 2020 - Changes to Entry Requirements

There is no longer a requirement for GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics at Grade C or Grade 4 or above (or equivalent) or to provide evidence of study within the five years prior to application.

The RPL requirements for this course have also changed. Since pre-registration nursing programmes are typically three years in duration, in order to join this two-year MSc it is necessary to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). This will now be in the form of three short pieces of written work (essays) and evidence which will also confirm that a minimum requirement of 700 hours of appropriate health-related occupational or voluntary experience has been met. Further details about RPL, including guidance on the development of your three short academic essays, will be sent to you upon successful completion of an interview.

There has been a further minor clarification to the degree requirements to advise that health-related subjects are preferred but not essential.
