Community, Visitors and Partners

We are updating this page regularly and as quickly as we can when new guidance is announced. Please keep yourself up-to-date with the latest information available on the NHS website and ensure you know what is expected of you in terms of staying alert and safe.

Can I use Edge Hill sports facilities?

The Sports Centre welcomed members back on the 12th April in line with Government guidance and includes access to the Fitness Suite, swimming pool and outdoor fitness classes. Other areas of the Sports Centre will open in due course once the relevant guidance has been released.

If you need any further information, including advice about memberships, please email edgehillsport@edgehill.ac.uk. Do keep checking our website which we’ll keep up to date in line with Government guidance.

What is happening about events on campus given the Government is easing lockdown restrictions?

We are following the Government’s latest guidance and we have postponed all large-scale events and closed the Arts Centre until further notice.

We are looking at the re-introduction of more outdoor events and some departments are hosting virtual events and you can check the website or the University’s social media feeds for details about any upcoming online offerings.

Please be assured that we are very keen to organise external, physical events when it is safe to do so and will keep you informed of these plans and our offering over the coming weeks.

When with the Arts Centre reopen?

In line with the Government’s latest guidance, we have postponed the Arts Centre programme.

The Arts Centre is looking at bringing more events online and utilising outdoor spaces later in the year, do keep an eye on the website and social media for more details.

We look forward to seeing you at our events when it is safe to do so.

Can I use the spaces on campus?

We recognise that our combination of beautifully landscaped grounds, historic architecture, lakes and even a beach provides a unique and innovative place for our community to make use of.

Members of the public are welcome to use our outdoor spaces for exercise, but must adhere to Government advice and follow the restrictions in place. Please adhere to social distancing guidance and any signage on campus about health, wellbeing and use of facilities.

Please be aware that we don’t allow dogs on campus so do respect our rules.

I’m an external partner/supplier and would like to meet with a member of the University, what should I do?

Due to the Government’s latest advice, University staff members are encouraged to conduct meetings virtually with visitors and external partners or use outdoor spaces. The person you are wanting to meet will be able to give you more details about this when making arrangements with you.
