Can I use Edge Hill sports facilities?

Following the Government’s announcement of a new national lockdown until mid February 2021, this means that all gyms and leisure centres must close, including the University’s Sports Centre.

Where possible, we will continue to provide our online virtual offer through the My Wellness app. If you haven’t already done so you can download the app from the Google Play or App Store. This will have our live virtual classes, specific workout routines, and a catalogue of classes for you to enjoy at home.

Please keep checking for further updates and follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see other workout routines as well as any further information.

If you need any further information, including advice about memberships, please email edgehillsport@edgehill.ac.uk. Do keep checking our website which we’ll keep up to date in line with Government guidance.

What is happening about events on campus given the Government lockdown restrictions in place?

Given the new national lockdown restrictions, we are following all the Government’s latest guidance and we have postponed all large-scale events and closed the Arts Centre until further notice.

Some departments are hosting virtual events and you can check the website or the University’s social media feeds for details about any upcoming online offerings.

Please be assured that we are very keen to organise external, physical events when it is safe to do so and will keep you informed of these plans and our offering over the coming weeks.

When with the Arts Centre reopen?

In line with the Government’s latest guidance regarding a national lockdown, we have postponed the Arts Centre programme.

The Arts Centre is looking at bringing more events online, do keep an eye on the website and social media for more detials.

We look forward to seeing you at our events when it is safe to do so.

Can I use the spaces on campus?

The health, safety and wellbeing of our students, staff and members of the community is our main priority.

In line with the latest government guidance to stay home as much as possible, access to the campus and services onsite are currently restricted to essential University staff and students only.

We will continue to follow the official guidance and look forward to welcoming our community back on campus when it is safe to do so.

I’m an external partner/supplier and would like to meet with a member of the University, what should I do?

Due to the new national lockdown restrictions and Government’s advice to stay at home where possible, University staff members are urged to conduct essential meetings virtually with visitors and external partners. The person you are wanting to meet will be able to give you more details about this when making arrangements with you.
