2019 Student Trip to Chongqing

The 2020  Confucius Institute Trip to Chongqing offers a fantastic opportunity for students to learn more about Chinese Culture and Language.  The programme includes cultural and language sessions, visits to historical and cultural sites.

More Information:

Objective: To learn Chinese language and experience Chinese culture and the realities of China.

Participants:  20 students

Outline of Visit:  Chongqing 12 days, taking part in Chinese language classes and cultural visits, meeting people

Dates:  June 2020

Cost:  Students pay for return flight to China plus visa (estimate £600-800), travel and medical insurance and any personal expenses.  All accommodation, meals and programme travel costs in China are covered by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban.

Requirements:

Registered students of Confucius Institute aged 18 to 30 who have studied Chinese at the Confucius Institute for no less than 3 months or 40 hours, and have not previously participated in a visit organised by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban.

People who are not currently eligible but who will be by March 2020 are welcome to apply.

A  Reflective Journal of approximately 1000 words must be submitted to Confucius Institute within 10 days of departure from China.
