Huaizhong Zhang is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Edge Hill University. His research interests mostly lie in the areas of deep learning and big data, image analysis, object tracking and recognition. In the past research experiences, he have carried out the studies with a variety of image/video modalities like CT, MRI, OCT, Thermal video, Hyperspectral remote sensing etc. A broad of the cutting-edge techniques have been involved into the relevant investigation. Among these, the main methods involved include CNN based techniques, Bayesian methods, level sets, MCMC, PDE, statistical learning, and graph theory etc. In addition, he have conducted various software developments, for examples, Proteomics/open source pipelines, video surveillance system, and computer assisted instruction etc.
