Writing 'Re-Treats'

In conjunction with Bethan Garrett from the Faculty of Education we are delighted to announce, because of their continued success, we are once again able to host a series of bespoke ‘Writing Re-Treats’ to support you with your writing!

These sessions are designed to support all staff (including those preparing for publication or conference presentation, PhD candidates, GTAs and those completing Module THE7003 on our PGCert).

Currently we are planning for all sessions to be held in the Lodge (CLT) with free tea and coffee available (Mindful of COVID-19 please bring your own mug!). To accommodate all needs we are planning a combination of face-to-face with virtual activities! So the best of both worlds!

All of these workshops are as we say open to all staff and they are designed to be flexible, hence there is no need to book, and you can drop in and out of them at any time during the day.

To note: The Lodge is a small room and with distancing will seat 4-6 people. Also with COVID-19 in mind, please for the comfort and safety of others if they indicate a preference please be prepared to wear a mask if you aren’t already.

  • There is no need to register
  • You can join in (physically or virtually) at any point during the day.
  • During the day please make sure you take regular breaks… stop and have a short walk and grab some fresh air!
  • Remember to tweet and share images and pictures during the day if you want to, please tag @CLTatEHU and @EHU_FOE, and of course please tag in any other twitter addresses you wish. Maybe share what you are working on, and if you would like to hook up with a friend for a physical and/or #virtualcoffee!

If you need any additional help or support please get in touch, you can email or email us direct.

Kindest Dawne and Bethan
(Dr. Dawne Irving-Bell, CLT and Bethan Garrett, FOE)

(@belld17 and @bethan_garrett)

With regards to rooming we will be working in the Lodge, with potentially other spaces TBC during the year so please check in on this website to access any updates.
