Careers Advisers

Careers Advisers offer confidential, bookable 30 minute appointments (Mon to Fri) and our ‘Careers Express’ 15 minute drop-in service every day. They also work with specific departments and subject areas providing inputs into the curriculum.

Employer Liaison Team

This is a dedicated employer liaison team helping  employers to connect with our students. They liaise with graduate and part-time employers and advertise vacancies and volunteering opportunities to our students, they also organise a variety of employer focussed events such as careers fairs throughout the year

Paul Ledsham – Employer Liaison Manager

Paul works directly with graduate employers to raise the profile of Edge Hill and seek out appropriate graduate vacancies and other opportunities for the employers to work with the University.

Lindsay Donnelly – Employer Liaison Adviser

Lindsay assists Paul in his role and  works with employers who advertise graduate and part-time roles. She also organises our annual Graduate Careers Fair and other employer led events on campus.

Paula Kendall – Employer Liaison Assistant

Paula assists  Paul and Lindsay in their roles and works with employers advertising roles via our vacancy service.

Student and Community Engagement Team

This team is dedicated to helping our students to engage with the local community either through part-time work, volunteering or other work experience.

Sue Norris – Careers Administration Manager

Sue is responsible for the general back-office administration of the Careers Centre, the Graduate Outcomes Return and website updating.

Katharine McKinnon – Employment Adviser

Katharine assists students by offering workshops to help students to write CVs and applications for part-time jobs and vacation work, giving advice on using social media and providing general advice and information to help students with job searches.

Helen Rimmer/Jennie Owen – Volunteering Advisers

Helen and Jennie assist students in seeking suitable volunteering opportunities, providing general advice and information to help students with their searches for suitable roles.

Kelly Rigg – Employment Adviser

Kelly is able to offer bespoke support to students who may wish to discuss issues around potential barriers to paid work or other work experience they may have.
