Early Years ITT: Early Years Teacher Status

Graduate Entry Route – 12 months (Full Time) is suitable for candidates who have a degree and wish to pursue a career in Early Years. It is a mainstream academic route which is fully funded by the National College for Teaching and Leadership who cover the training fee. Additionally, a £9,000 bursary is available to candidates with a 1st class degree/PhD and a £4,000 bursary is available to those with a 2:1/masters degree.

Trainees will undertake 120 days (24 weeks) on placement in Early Years settings or schools. Face-to-face sessions will cover content such as the fundamentals of early years, Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), enabling environments, safeguarding, inclusion, positive relationships/behaviour, child development, leadership and management, planning and assessment, early maths, early reading and phonics, and the National Curriculum Key Stage 1 continuum.
