Business support

Not only does research help to develop the expertise of our own staff – and ultimately enhance the student experience – but it is also used to inform the policies and practice of businesses and organisations.

Knowledge transfer partnerships

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships is Europe’s leading programme helping businesses to improve their competitiveness and productivity. The University and employer form a partnership to help innovate and improve performance. Extensive financial support is available and the school will provide support in developing the proposal for funding.

Contract research

The school’s academic staff undertake research in a range of business, computing, accounting and marketing areas. Our staff are also available to work with organisations to help develop innovative solutions to business problems.

Student placements

Working as individuals or in teams and under the supervision of a member of the academic staff, our students can be a valuable resource. In addition to providing valuable experience to the students, they provide the capacity to undertake projects that can add real value to an organisation in a cost effective way.

Bespoke courses

The school has also been successful in developing bespoke part-time courses to meet the needs of individual organisations. Using the expertise in the school, programmes can be adapted to be both cost and time efficient and relevant to your business area.

We are currently able to offer research, training and development in the following areas:
