Business School works with industry leaders to develop their staff

Viridor open the door for career development courses

In response to unprecedented development within the resource and renewable energy sector, waste management company Viridor worked with the Business School to provide a course tailored to training their next generation of management and leaders.

The in-company FdA Professional Development (Business Leadership and Management) has been running since 2012, with external examiners positively noting the high standards of student achievement. Following on from the success of the trailblazing foundation degree, the Business School is now working with the Chartered Management Institute to develop a bespoke programme for the company, to be delivered at a variety of levels to meet their needs.

“Working in partnership with Edge Hill University has enabled Viridor to develop a curriculum that is tailored directly to the needs of a fast paced business at the heart of the UK’s green economy, with modules focusing on managing change, employee engagement and leadership, which are designed to better equip Viridor’s managers for the needs of the business today and in the future.”
