Greg busy dealing with customers at a recent trade event.

First year Business & Management student Greg Anderton has successfully won a £2000 grant from UnLtD to support his small business in undertaking social enterprise work with local schools and other community groups.

Greg’s started his company Leafy Lytham when he was a Sixth-former at Lytham High School, he notes that “I did my first plant store in year 6 at a summer fair and it has slowly been expanding since then”. He will using the funding to do outreach work with local schools and communities groups to providing training and support around their own gardening plans and activities.

Greg is being mentored by members of the Business School staff in both the growth of his business and his social enterprise activities. As part of that mentoring activity, Greg will be coached on business development and given advice about the best ways to extend and grow his client base.
