The Faculty of Arts and Sciences is home to a large and diverse group of disciplines with a track record of excellence in research, much of which crosses traditional disciplinary boundaries. We are particularly keen to continue to build our research capacity, and welcome applications for up to 12 PhD studentships to be held in a range of subject areas across the Faculty. These will be combined with Graduate Teaching Assistantships.
Within the Business School, research proposals are invited on the following:
- Critical Management/Public/Voluntary Sector Change and Modernization
- Emergency Service Modernization
- Third sector Transformation and Change in an Age of Austerity
- Management Accounting and Organizational Control
We are happy to consider applications from candidates interested in any area of management accounting and organizational control. The social, political, organizational and institutional features of management accounting change processes, drawing on social theory, are of particular interest to the School.
