Abul “Sham” Shama of Enterprise talking to first year PDP students about motivation and talent development.

As part of their Personal Development and Professional (PDP) module, first year business school students attended a talk from Abul “Sham” Shama, a talent acquisition specialist for Enterprise PLC. The multibillion-dollar industry leader has over 550 locations in the UK and has a long-standing graduate recruitment scheme.

Sham talked to the students about success in their careers lies in their own hands and talked about the skills and competences that they need to develop to get on and success in the workplace.

Every student undertaking the PDP module must complete a skills based portfolio that demonstrates their ability and competence in a number of academic and practical areas. Those skills range from the ability to prepare a CV to academic skills on finding and making use of academic literature. The aim of the module is to equip Edge Hill Business School students with the essential skills needed to succeed both in their academic studies but also in the workplace.
