Characteristics of Tilia cordata (Small Leaved Lime) at its Range Margins and their Implications in View of Climate Change:

Clare Bugg

This PhD project will be examining the links between temperature and fertility in T. cordata in order to predict the likely implications of climate change for this species. The study aims to answer the following questions:

  • How do populations of T. cordata vary in terms of phenology, pollinator interactions and fertility both on a local and national scale.
  • What are the likely implications of climate change, especially temperature changes on this plants fertility and distribution?
