Biography

Jenni first joined Edge Hill University in 2015 as a Fastrack student before graduating with a BSc (Hons) degree in Biology in 2018. Jenni’s undergraduate dissertation concerned hybridisation between two bluebell species in SW Lancashire, Hyacinthoides non-scripta (English Bluebell) and H. hispanica (Spanish Bluebell).

In October 2018, Jenni returned to EHU to complete her MRes degree concerning inter and intra population variation in Carex salina, investigating the genetic composition and dispersal of a new UK coloniser. This MRes enabled Jenni to study towards a PhD alongside a GTA position in which she will research the ecological genetics of maritime species in Carex sect. Phacosystis, a subject which is an extension of her work cornering C. salina.
