Module Approval

Faculties have devolved responsibility for validating new modules according to institutionally-agreed criteria and a full explanation of the process is provided in Chapter 4 [PDF] of the Quality Management Handbook.

New module specifications are generated electronically using the E-VAL system which is also used for processing modifications to existing modules. Guidance notes for the completion of module templates can be found both within E-VAL, and here. In addition, minor module modifications require proposers to complete the Minor Module Modification template form below:

E-VAL enables Edge Hill staff to view existing modules of other departments and Faculties for the purpose of module sharing, subject to obtaining the necessary permissions through completion of one of the following forms:
