We are keen to offer support and advice to our graduates and keep them involved in the life of the University. As an alumnus you can make use of a range of services designed to help graduates plan their careers, undertake further study or to keep in touch with us and each other. Free Library and online journal package

Graduates of Edge Hill University can access the University Library and a range of leading online academic journals free of charge.

The library package benefit offers access to over 2,700 academic journals from across leading publishers; Emerald, Project Muse, Sage, Childlink, The Literary Encyclopedia and Credo Reference. Graduates can also access the University Libraries, borrow up to five books and gain access to study facilities.

The range of library resources available are aimed at supporting former students with their career enhancement, further study or to help with research for job applications.

To join the library, or to access the journals online, you will need to register with the Alumni Network and then contact the University Library at Ormskirk to receive a library number and pin. For further information, visit: www.edgehill.ac.uk/ls/library/visitors/alumni.

Help to plan your career

Get free, expert guidance on all aspects of career planning; whether you want to find a job, progress in your current role or change direction completely. You can book a one-to-one advice session for a year after graduating, and still receive careers advice via email for another two years after that. Sports Centre discount

Edge Hill graduates qualify for discounted membership at the University’s £30million Sports Centre complex which includes access to an 80-station Fitness Suite with in-built entertainment technology, 25m 6 lane swimming pool, sauna and steam room, 4 court sports hall, 3G sports pitches and a dance studio with sprung floor.

Graduates qualify for the Corporate Rate and must provide one of the following when signing up:

  • Copy of degree certificate
  • Copy of transcript
  • Written confirmation from the Alumni team (alumni@edgehill.ac.uk)

Postgraduate and Professional Development Opportunities

We can offer expert advice on our wide range of postgraduate and professional development courses, and as an Edge Hill graduate, you may also qualify for a 20% reduction in postgraduate course fees.

Help to organise a reunion

The Alumni Team can offer support and advice on organising reunions and keeping in touch with your University friends after graduation. We can help to publicise the event, find venues on campus to host your reunion and in the summer months you can even stay in our halls of residence.

Each year we hold an alumni Catch-Up Day on campus for alumni to meet and see the latest developments on campus and to re-live their students days. The next Catch-Up Day is planned for Saturday 8th July 2016.

Attend events on campus

There are many opportunities for graduates to come back to campus once you’ve left. Alumni are welcome to attend our career fairs, workshops and academic conferences, and take advantage of our numerous Continuing Professional Development opportunities.
