Living on Campus

Edge Hill University offers a safe and secure environment in which to live and many new students appreciate the supportive, sociable and secure atmosphere that life in halls can offer. As we're campus based, you’ll find everything you need is just a few minutes walk from your room.

Our halls of residence are divided into six separate areas, housing a total of over 1,700 students with a further 245 eco-friendly, ultra-modern rooms planned for academic year 2014/15.

Over 300 rooms are available as catered accommodation and the remainder are self-catered. More than 70% of rooms offer en-suite facilities.

Our accommodation is priced to suit a range of budgets and includes impressive new developments in the highly contemporary Chancellors Court, Founders Court and Graduates Court.

What do I need to bring?

All rooms are furnished with a bed, wardrobe, desk and chair and you are free to bring your own things to make your room your own personal space with posters, photos and other personal items. You’ll need to bring your own bed linen (including duvet and pillow), towels, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils.

All rooms in Chancellors Court, Chancellors South, Founders Court and Graduates Court come equipped with a flatscreen computer / freeview TV while the contemporary shared kitchen and living areas include a 32" LCD freeview TV. If allocated a room in any of our other halls, you'll need your own computer and TV if you wish to use them.

To watch TV, a TV licence will be required regardless of whether a television is included in your room or you bring your own/watch live TV online. Wireless enabled internet access is available, free of charge, in all halls of residence.

How much will it cost?

Our on campus accommodation is offered on a 40 week contract, running from September to June.

Prices range from £63-£109 per week for academic year 2014/15 and £65-£112 per week for academic year 2015/16, depending on the hall of residence you choose.
