- Currently teaching the Law of Contract, Legal Methods and Systems, and Consumer Law
- Year 3 Tutor, responsible for all students taking Level 6 law modules at Edge Hill University
- Faculty Learning and Teaching Committee Departmental Representative; University Student Experience Committee Faculty Representative; Member of the Validation and Standing Panel, and a member of various steering and working groups
- Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
- Member of the Association of Law Teachers, Society for Computers and Law, Society of Legal Scholars and the UK Centre for Legal Education
Academic and Research Interests
- Subject Related - Contractual rights and obligations; Consumer protection; Intellectual property, in particular internet copyright
- Learning and Teaching - Legal education, in particular different approaches to student induction and transitions; academic literacies and skills development; key processes in reflective learning and assessment; the role of PDP; and the use of technologies in learning and teaching
Fellowship Foci
- To evaluate and develop law induction programmes, with a focus on legal and academic skills development
- To explore learning, teaching and assessment approaches to academic literacies, and to assess the effect of the measures introduced for law students
- To explore various approaches to student transitions, and to design effective transition sessions for Level 4 and 5 students
- To design and implement effective strategies for improving student progress and retention
