Car Sharing
Car sharing is when two or more people share their journey and travel together. It allows people to benefit from the convenience of the car whilst saving money by reducing mileage and petrol costs, alleviating parking problems, congestion and pollution.
Register your details and search other members with a suitable journey match.
You can register to give or receive a lift or both.

Fill out the registration form and wait to be emailed your password.
Once you have received your password log back into your account and enter the details of any journeys you want to make.
The system then searches for all fellow colleagues or students who may be a potential match.
If a match is not found your journey will be logged and you will be contacted as soon as a potential match is found. Alternatively you can opt to search for a match from the national database.
Edge Hill University have teamed up with Liftshare, the UK’s leading car share provider to supply a secure, private car share group to all Edge Hill’s staff and students.
Priority Parking for Car Sharers
Car sharers can take advantage of priority parking spaces in Car Park A between 8am – 10am. Only badge holders will be admitted so make sure you complete the application form below: Car Share Leaflet [PDF]
Guaranteed Ride Home Scheme PILOT
Staff may make use of the Guaranteed Ride Home (GRH) scheme as a member of the Edge Hill Staff Car Share group. The pilot scheme will be evaluated at the end of the trial period to assess its success and whether it will continue permanently.
