Entrance Scholarships: International Students

At Edge Hill University, we understand that studying in the UK requires a significant financial commitment. We are therefore pleased to offer a scholarship to our international students to assist with the cost of living.
What does the scholarship consist of?
This scholarship offers up to £2,000 towards the cost of accommodation on campus.
For undergraduate students the scholarship applies to Year 1 of your studies. Awards may be made in subsequent years where a student displays exceptional academic performance (marks of no less than 65%), and where tuition fees and the balance of accommodation fees for the previous year have been paid in full. Any such awards will be made at the discretion of the Centre for International Education.
How do I apply?
All international students, whether undergraduate or postgraduate, are eligible to apply for this scholarship. You are asked to submit a personal statement, telling us why you should be given the award. You may wish to talk about the following:
- Academic achievements to date;
- Relevant work experience (where appropriate);
- Extra-curricular interests and achievements;
- How you will contribute to campus life at Edge Hill.
The above is a guide only: you may have other achievements you would like to tell us about. Statements are considered by the Centre for International Education and the scholarships awarded accordingly on merit.
Scholarship applications can be made once you have applied for your course and statements should be submitted via email to international@edgehill.ac.uk. In the subject line you should insert your name so that the title reads as follows: 'First Name Surname Scholarship Application'.
What does Edge Hill University expect in return?
It is a condition of the award that scholars must agree to be featured in publicity materials for the promotion of Edge Hill to future international students.
