Primary PGCE: Pathway C
There is a pre-course day at the end of June. The standard year runs from the first week of September to the last week of June, with two-week vacations at Christmas and Easter.
Teaching at Edge Hill is normally from 9am until 6pm, although you will occasionally be required to stay until 6 p.m. Several hours of independent study will be expected every evening and at the weekend. A typical week’s timetable is:
- Monday - Personal and Professional Development and English
- Tuesday - Maths, Science and ICT
- Wednesday - School / independent study
- Thursday - School / independent study
- Friday - Broad Curriculum (foundation subjects)
