Care Leavers

Full time students can apply for a care leavers bursary of up to £1,000 to help with accommodation costs in the long summer vacation if:

  • You're under the age of 21 on the first day of your course and were in care immediately before starting the course

or

  • You were in care for a minimum of three months continuously on or after your 16th birthday

and

  • left the care of a Local Authority before 1st October 2001.

You can apply for this bursary through the Student Financial Support Team at Edge Hill University. Help us to help you by informing us that you're a care leaver when you register at Edge Hill.
