Access to Learning Fund
Each year the government provides Edge Hill with an allocated amount of money called the Access to Learning fund. This enables the University to support students who are struggling financially.
Full-time Undergraduate Students
If you're studying full-time and find yourself with above average costs, a sudden financial emergency or facing serious financial difficulties, you may be eligible for an award from the Access to Learning Fund. When you apply, you will be asked to provide details of your household income and certain expenses; this information will be used to determine whether you qualify for a payment from the fund.
It is important not to wait until you have run out of money so if you think you may need to apply to the fund for support, submit your application as soon as possible. Payment received from the fund does not usually have to be repaid.

Part-time Undergraduate Students
If you are studying part-time and qualify for a Fee Grant and Course Grant from Student Finance England, you may be eligible for support with certain course related expenses from the Access to Learning Fund. These expenses may include childcare costs and travel expenses for the days you are required to attend your course.
