Relaxation

We can all feel stressed and anxious from time to time. Each one of us experiences stress and this is often helpful as it focuses us and motivates us to meet our goals. Stress can give us the extra push to get things done. However, problems arise when we are over-stressed.

It is important to balance stress levels with adequate relaxation. Practicing relaxation can help you balance stress levels and reduce anxiety. You can learn some simple relaxation techniques by using the downloadable recording below.

Practice relaxing in a place where you have privacy and where you will not be interrupted for thirty minutes or so. Make yourself comfortable, either sitting in a comfortable chair or perhaps lying flat on a bed. Ensure there are no distractions and that the room temperature is comfortable for you. You can practice relaxation as often as you need, but it is important that you do not listen to the recording whilst driving a vehicle or operating any type of machinery.
