Counselling: Appointments

If you would like an appointment with a counsellor, please call into the Health and Well-being Centre in Milton House, call 01695 650988 or complete the online form. Appointments can be arranged by emailing counselling@edgehill.ac.uk. Milton House is situated on Ruff Lane to the rear of the Ormskirk Campus.

If you feel that the issue is not urgent, then you would normally be offered an appointment within 1-2 weeks. However, if it is an emergency we will offer you an appointment within the same or next working day.

We ask you to keep the appointments you have booked or let your counsellor know if, for any reason, you will not be able to keep them. Appointments can always be rescheduled if necessary.

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-5pm
• Thursday 9am-7pm

Early morning / evening appointments are available on request.

Help in a Crisis

If you are in a crisis situation where action needs to be taken urgently, for example if you're in serious distress or in danger of harming yourself or others, then support should be sought through:

• Your General Practitioner (Doctor)
• Accident or Emergency Department at your local hospital
• The Samaritans on 08457 909090 (24 hours a day, local call rate)
