C.A.T.S Club
Introduction
Our holiday club has been renamed as the CATS Club ( Children Active Through Sport Club ). The name change reflects the fact that we want to encourage children to become more active whilst having fun. As the name suggests there will be lots of different sports offered during the programme as well as some less energetic games.
We believe that children thrive in a positive environment, where teamwork, encouragement and fun are an every day occurrence and confidence is developed through learning new skills and enjoying favourite activities.
At Sporting Edge we aim to provide the safest, best staffed, best-equipped, most dynamic children’s holiday playscheme. Our CATS Club’s are affordable and accessible, offering value for money and quality care where your children can build friendships and memories.
We believe every child should have the opportunity to enjoy the Sporting Edge experience. Safety and welfare of children and peace of mind for parents are our main priorities.
We look to maintain our quality provision by asking for feedback after each holiday period. These CATS Club Questionaires [PDF] will be posted to all participants and the latest will be sent out shortly
Age Range
The CATS Club @ Sporting Edge caters for children aged between 8 and 12 years. The club offers a variety of activities each day specially adapted for the children attending each day.
Days and Times Operated
The club runs Mondays-Fridays (excluding Bank Holidays) during Easter, Summer Half Term and Summer school holidays. The club runs from 8.30am until 5.30pm.
Activities offered include:

Ratios
Children are supervised by qualified staff in the ratio of 1 staff member to a maximum of 10 children. During the swimming sessions we will have at least two qualified lifeguards as well as other members of staff.
Staffing qualifications
Our staff will have a variety of qualifications ranging from governing body coaching qualifications, teaching qualifications, Community Sports Leaders Awards or childcare qualifications. The staff are all CRB checked and have received training. We’ll attempt to have a number of staff with different qualifications on each day.

We are now also offering a C.A.T.S. Club Annual Membership which entitles a child to attend an unlimited number of C.A.T.S. sessions during the year for a one off price. The new membership packages represent outstanding value with prices starting from the equivalent of as little as £6.54 per day.

You will need to complete a CATS Club Booking Form [PDF] , which includes details of conditions and full payments are required at the time of booking. Payments can be made using cash, cheque with guarantee card, credit or debit card
