Nomination Scholarships: Preparation for Higher Education
Preparation for Higher Education Scholarships are awarded in recognition of achievement on the University's Fastrack: Preparation for Higher Education course.
Fastrack is an intensive seven week programme for adults (aged 19 or over) and is designed to give students who may have missed out on educational opportunities earlier in life, the skills and knowledge to prepare them for entry to an Edge Hill degree course.
Scholarship Amount
£2,000 (paid over 3 years)
Eligibility
Students who have completed the Fastrack: Preparation for Higher Education course at Edge Hill University and have enrolled on a full-time degree are eligible.
Categories
Awards are made in the following categories:
- Peer mentoring;
- Overcoming significant hardship;
- Student Ambassador;
- Significant contribution to the overall programme / group.
How do I apply?
There is no application process for these scholarships.
A selection panel will judge nominations received from Fastrack staff. You are encouraged to speak to your Fastrack tutor to discuss your individual situation and desire to be considered for the award.
If you are selected to receive a Preparation for HE Scholarship you will be notified by the end of July 2012. Recipients will be invited to the Scholarships Presentation Evening in the autumn.
