If you can demonstrate determination, commitment and achievement in Creative Arts, whatever subjects you have studied, then this is the Entrance Scholarship for you. We are also interested in less conventional areas of Creative Arts.
How to Apply
To apply for a 2012/13 Creative Arts Entrance Scholarship, download our application form (doc). You can get help completing your application by reading our guidance notes (doc).
The deadline for applying for 2012/13 Entrance Scholarships is Friday 15th June 2012.
The application process gives you an opportunity to tell us about your past achievements in Creative Arts, your future plans and how a scholarship would benefit you.
The judging panel will be keen to discover:
- Your interests and involvement in the Creative Arts over the last three years;
- How you have gone beyond what is expected of you in school or college. This may include A-level coursework of a high standard and/or projects completed outside of school or college.
We will also take into account success achieved in adversity, where you have demonstrated excellence in Creative Arts and had to overcome exceptional circumstances.
It's essential to provide evidence to demonstrate your success by providing photographs of your artwork, certificates, short stories, poems etc. You must also choose a referee who will be asked to explain in a few paragraphs why they think you're a deserving recipient of an Entrance Scholarship.
Please note, large / fragile artwork cannot be accepted and work submitted will not be returned (unless you can collect it from the Ormskirk Campus). Photographs are preferable.
