Any learner's motivation to learn, achieve and aspire to self-development is a fundamental product of who they believe themselves to be and how they feel about that belief. Nothing could be more central to the business of an education faculty. CLIS is the Faculty of Education's research centre.


Centre for Research Ethics and Ethical Deliberation (CREED).

CREED

is dedicated to the enrichment of the quality of ethical thinking and practice in the research process and more broadly in the way people think, understand and make ethical decisions through enhancing the quality of ethical deliberation.


Evidence-based Practice Research Centre (EPRC)

The development of the Centre is part of the strategic intent of the Faculty of Health and Social Care aimed at enhancing research and scholarship as underpinning knowledge transfer activities.

The Centre for Sports Law Research is engaged in funded consultancy for both public and private bodies on issues relevant to the legal regulation of sport.

The WP Research Centre

Edge Hill University has recently established the Widening Participation Research Centre, which is directed by Professor Liz Thomas. The Centre is dedicated to undertaking research and related activity to support the development of learning opportunities for individuals and groups currently under-represented in postcompulsory education and training.
