Enrolment

New Students

All new students are required to enrol at the beginning of the academic year before starting their study at Edge Hill University. The enrolment process involves:

• Completing an enrolment form;
• Discussing payment of tuition fees;
• Producing your ID, please see ‘ID Policy 2011-12’ link for information;
• Being issued with a Confirmation of Enrolment letter;

Your enrolment cannot be completed until:

• Conditions of entry to your programme have been met, including the verification of qualifications, any references, medical and CRB checks etc;
• You have produced the relevant identification;
• Your enrolment form has been fully completed and signed by yourself and an appropriate member of the university staff;
• A module registration form has been completed if required;
• Appropriate payment of tuition fees (in full or by agreed instalments) has taken place, or a third party has agreed to be responsible for the payments of fees and written evidence of this agreement has been provided;
• Any other administrative procedures have been finalised.

Please note that students who are Direct Entrants or completing a Top-Up year from a Foundation Degree are treated as new students and also enrol in the above way.

Continuing Students

The online service for students will be opened from 1st September 2011 for any students that have successfully progressed through the summer assessment boards and from 19th September 2011 for students that were required to go through a reassessment board and then were subsequently successful (ie. those with an overall decision of ‘Pass & Proceed’ or ‘Continue with Outstanding Modules’).

Students will need to use their Edge Hill login details to access the GO Portal which they can do from the main Edge Hill website. If students cannot remember their password they will need to contact Learning Services on 01695 584286 or e-mail lsdesk@edghill.ac.uk.

After logging on to GO they can then access the On-line Enrolment System by clicking on:

• Student Central
• My Record
• Enrol Now
• Then follow the simple onscreen instructions

There are a few exceptions to this however. Students who are repeating their first year or returning from intercalation into the first year are treated as new students and should attend an enrolment session in the same way as a new student (see above). Students with an Overseas fee category must attend an enrolment session in person and can contact the Centre for International Education on 01695 657122 for further details.

Further to reassessment information released on the 14 September, students may be ‘Transferred to Part Time’ for the 2011 academic year. They will not be able to re-enrol online and must attend an enrolment session in the Wilson Centre on 21 September between 3-5pm.

Where a student has completed their final year but with a school placement outstanding to be completed in the 2011 academic year they will be expected to re-enrol online from the 19 September 2011.

Lastly, students with outstanding Fee or Halls debt must make an appointment to see the Fees (01695 584171) or Accommodation Team (01695 584289) before they are permitted to re-enrol online. Similarly if a student from the Faculty of Arts & Science is repeating their second or third year they will have to sign a Repeat Year Learning Agreement before they are permitted to enrol.
