“There are so many good things about Edge Hill University, with the variety of courses available, the friendliness and enthusiasm of the staff and the opportunities you have upon graduation just some of the reasons that made me want to study here.

I chose Early Childhood Studies because I felt that the depth of information covered in the different modules would broaden my knowledge as well as develop and enhance my future career options.

I’ve really not been disappointed and this course is more than I ever expected. We study such a wide range of topics, developing our understanding of education, social policy, safeguarding and social work, which has given me confidence that I certainly didn’t have before. There’s no doubt that if you are passionate about children and the way in which they develop then this course is for you!

Another benefit of studying at Edge Hill is that you can undertake a variety of field trips too which consolidates your learning by experiencing it in practice. One of my highlights was an inspirational visit to Amsterdam were we met social workers from an organisation who help to combat child trafficking, prostitution and exploitation throughout the world.

As a result of this course I’m now hoping to continue my studies here at Edge Hill as it has inspired me to go on and become a primary school teacher.”
