Being here really gives you the opportunities to extend your learning, broaden your horizons and fulfil your ambitions. During my course I have met my idol – Children’s laureate Anne Fine – been awarded a scholarship and listened to both the UK and US poet Laureates speak.

“Edge Hill University has a beautiful campus, with modern buildings and a gorgeous rural feel, but it’s really the people who make it what it is.
As well as having an excellent reputation for teacher training, what could be more appealing than being taught by leading lecturers who love their subject and who have actually written your text books!
As a mature student entering the application process I thought I would feel a bit isolated, but instead found that being directed to Edge Hill’s ‘Hi’ website massively impacted on my whole application and enrolment experience
It’s nice to have that avenue to talk about things informally, and to people in the same boat. I started chatting to someone on the forums who was the same age as me and on the same course, so we met up on our first day and we’ve been inseparable ever since!
Because of this I decided to become a student blogger myself in the hope that I can help other applicants and being able to boast about the fabulous opportunities Edge Hill offers to its students is an added bonus! I really do love this University and every day I am grateful and proud to be a part of such a people-centred institution.
