“Once I’d completed my Higher National Diploma in computing in my home country of Sri Lanka, I had to decide where I wanted to go next.
The UK’s worldwide recognition, lower education costs, work experience opportunities and it being a gateway to other places in Europe, meant England was always going to be my first choice.
Having looked around, I was very impressed with Edge Hill and I could see that it offered high quality programmes and professional excellence, supported by state of the art facilities, all set within a beautiful campus.
Because I hadn’t lived away from my home country before, I found it quite hard to settle in at first, but I’ve been helped so much by the friends I’ve made here and the helpful university staff. The international office have been great too and they really do try to make sure that you are happy and enjoying the experience.
