“It was an easy decision choosing Edge Hill; they have an outstanding reputation for sport and teaching and the amazing sports facilities outshone most of the other universities I applied to. I chose to apply after seeing the Edge Hill advert and reading the UCAS review putting the university in the top 20 for student satisfaction.
“I live in Lady Margaret Hall on campus, which is great for getting to the university’s fantastic sport facilities, like the athletic track and the gym. Everything you could ever need is on campus, from the shop to great IT facilities, and it is buzzing with people from around the world studying hundreds of different courses, all in one place.
“Since my very first tour I’ve been treated as an individual; they considered my extra-curricular experience as well as my grades during the application phase and were more interested in what I could bring to the university and how they could help me reach my potential through the medium of sport. The tutors treat me with respect and have time for me whenever I need it, whatever the problem is.
“I’ve gained a huge amount of confidence both through what I have learnt in the classroom and the field trips. I hope to go on to teach PE in secondary schools and use my skills to be a positive role model.”
