BSc (Hons) Behaviour Analysis and Intervention

Catherine Bukata

“As part of my role as a Community Learning Disabilities Nurse for Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust I come across a large number of service users who display challenging behaviour. Because of this, and to help me to work with them more effectively, I decided to study the BSc (Hons) in Behaviour Analysis and Intervention.

I had already completed a course at Edge Hill University and really liked the environment and atmosphere so it was the obvious choice for me to study at again. The University’s close proximity to Liverpool and Manchester, as well as the range of modern learning resources, sports facilities and Rose Theatre all add to your learning experience.

Whilst on the degree I have really enjoyed putting the theory I have learnt into practice and developed a strong knowledge base upon which to build. I’ve also found the tutors to be extremely helpful and approachable, they always have time for you when you need them.

For me, one of the best things about the programme is being able to choose your own area of interest to focus on for your dissertation, meaning you can concentrate on an area that really benefits your professional practice.

Once I graduate I’m hoping to progress onto an MA to develop my skills further and learn even more about this fascinating area.”
